St Brigid's Weaved Crosses

Do you like our crosses? We used lollipop sticks and wove wool around them to make these lovely Celtic crosses in honour of St. Brigid. Take a look at how we made them:

READING BUDDIES

 Our Reading Buddies system is going really well. Our class reads with Junior and Senior Infants while 5th and 6th read with 1st and 2nd class. The younger children love this and we even made our little buddies a certificate today for being so good.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION!

It's January...time to work off all those selection boxes! Niall Teather from FitKids is back to help us get back into shape and stretch our muscles! Today we did really fast warm ups, hand stands, cartwheels, pike poses and bridges to name but a few of our activities. It was strenuous exercise but so much fun!!

3-2-1- LAUNCH!!!

 We had great fun making our own parachutes which demonstrated how wind resistance can slow down the force of gravity.

HALLOWEEN GAMES!

The Student Council very kindly organised traditional Halloween games for us in the GP room today. It was really great fun!!

SUPER SCIENTISTS! Rain Gauge Project winners!

Congratulations to our super scientists, Naofa and Holly who worked so hard on their rain gauge homework projects. Holly brought in pictures of her doing her projects at home.-one to demonstrate evaporation and the other to measure rainfall.

Naofa astonished us all with her outstanding rainfall project she presented to the class. We took pictures of it to show you all.

Congratulations to both of the girls on receiving a "STAR STUDENT" certificate for their diligent work.
